1. What to know before you sign up
Language decides more than price here: two of the three sites on this page are in Danish only. The site boxes are in Danish too, so four words will help: Oprettelse is signing up (gratis means free), Abonnement is the subscription price, Opsigelse is how you cancel, and Reklamelink marks an advertising link.
This is what the three sites showed when we read them on 9 and 10 October 2026:
| Site | Language | Run by |
|---|---|---|
| Dating.dk | Danish | Dating.dk ApS, Viborg, Denmark |
| Single.dk | Danish | Babel ApS, Viborg, Denmark |
| InternationalCupid | English front page and signup, also when opened from Denmark; a Danish version at /da; terms in English with a Danish translation | SOL Networks Limited, Sliema, Malta |
You can let your browser translate a Danish-only site, but the terms you accept when you sign up are the Danish text. That is the one thing to keep in mind.
We don’t test the sites and have no profiles on them. Everything on this page comes from the sites’ own pages, and the quotes from Danish pages are our translation.
2. How to choose
Pick by how much Danish you can live with, then use the free profile to see who is there.
- You want a Danish site and can manage Danish menus: Single.dk says it is made for someone who is “tired of dating” and would really like “to find someone to share your life with”. It invites you to “Opret gratis profil” (create a free profile), and it has apps for iPhone and Android. Its public pages don’t say what the free profile includes, and prices only appear once you have a profile.
- You want to see what free covers before you sign up: Dating.dk spells it out on its public price page. Free, you can search profiles, see and like others, fill in your profile, upload photos and use the app. Reading your messages and writing freely to everyone come with the paid PlusProfil, and the price is in the box.
- You need everything in English: InternationalCupid. Its front page says “Meet International Singles”, and its contact page answers: “Yes, joining InternationalCupid is completely free. You can upgrade to a paid plan anytime for enhanced features and benefits.” Prices are not shown before you join.
Parship and Meetic no longer have Danish sites. The address parship.dk sends you on to the British uk.parship.com, which is in English and sells memberships in British pounds; what happened to Parship in Denmark has its own page. The address meetic.dk leads to dk.match.com, and if you sign up there, Match.com’s terms and prices apply, as our page on what happened to Meetic explains. Match.com’s Danish site is in Danish and run by Match.com Nordic AB in Stockholm; see what Match.com costs in Denmark.
Subscription prices for all three, where the sites publish them, are on our price overview, which is in Danish. All the sites we cover are listed under dating sites.
3. Questions
Is Dating.dk Danish?
Yes. The site is run by Dating.dk ApS in Viborg, and its pages, prices and terms are in Danish.
Which dating site is 100% free?
None of the three lets you use everything without payment. Dating.dk puts reading messages under its paid PlusProfil, InternationalCupid sells a paid plan for “enhanced features”, and Single.dk doesn’t say on its public pages what the free profile covers.
Where can I date a foreigner?
InternationalCupid is built for that: it presents itself as a place to “Meet International Singles” and runs in English. Dating.dk and Single.dk are where to look if you want a Danish site with Danish terms.
Which dating app is most popular in Denmark?
We have no figures that compare how many people use each app in Denmark, and we don’t repeat the member counts the sites publish about themselves. Dating.dk and Single.dk point to apps for iPhone and Android on their own pages, and the InternationalCupid front page links to an Android app on Google Play.
4. How we make money, and how the order is set
A button marked Reklamelink pays us when someone creates a profile through it; a box that says “Ingen aftale” has no such button and pays us nothing. The InternationalCupid box says “Ingen aftale”, which means no deal: we earn nothing if you sign up there.
The two Danish sites come first, Dating.dk before Single.dk because its prices and free profile are spelled out in public. InternationalCupid comes last because it is run from Malta rather than Denmark. The full arrangement is described, in Danish, on how we make money.
If you can get by with Danish menus, start with the Single.dk box; if you need English all the way through, open InternationalCupid.
